Countable and uncountable nouns. Countable nouns are nouns that can be count. Apples, pencils, cars, children.... They take articles such as a or an . An apple, a pencil.... When asking we need to use.. How many ....? Uncountable nouns are nouns that cannot be count. Sugar, milk, water, oil, rice,.... They cannot take a or an. Some can be used. They cannot have plural forms. Sugar s , oil s When asking we need to use: How much.. ? Uncountable nouns need a quantifier in order to be able to be count.
