In 410 AD, the Suevi and the Vandals, Germanic tribes, were forced into the Iberian Peninsula . These were followed by the Visigoths. Visigoths gradually expanded their influence into Iberia eventually setting up their capital in Toledo during the reign of Leovigild. Although the Visigoths were very different people to the Romans, they left behind a legacy of very decorative , often gaudy, jewellery but their language had a negligible influence on the natives because they didn’t mingle with them much. They tended to keep the same Roman institutions and legal code and traded with Mediterranean countries to keep contacts close. The

We have started learning about LIVING THINGS. What are living things? Living things are organisms that are born, grow, reproduce and die. Living things VITAL FUNCTIONS : NUTRITION, REPRODUCTION and INTERACTION. NUTRITION Living things need water, food and air in order to grow. They transform nutrients into energy in order to live. Animal nutrition -Carnivores: animals that eat only meat -Herbivores: animals that eat only plants -Omnivores: animals that eat both, plants and meat. Plant nutrition Plants absorve water and nutrients from the soil through the roots. This is called RAW SAP . On the leaves through the process of photosynthesis, the raw sap changes into ELABORATED SAP.
