Our Solar system is made up of the sun, satellites, and planets.
The planets orbit the sun.
There are 8 planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune.

What is the sun? The Sun is a star. It is the center of our Solar System, and its gravity holds the Solar System together.  Everything in our Solar System revolves around it.  The Sun gives the Earth light and heat . What is Earth? Earth is our planet It is a large sphere.  It´s a blue planet because it is covered with a lot of water like the oceans but there is also land like islands and continents. Earth is surrounded by air called atmosphere and in the air there is oxygen. Earth revolves the sun, it takes 365 days (1 year) to do this!  We have 4 seasons  And... Planet Earth rotates on its own axis! It takes 24 hours (1 day). We have day and night.  Watch this video! What is the moon? The Moon is the Earth's Satellite.
