We've started this unit learning about the different LANDSCAPES we can find around us:

In a landscape we can also find different 

BODIES OF WATER

Lakes

Oceans

Rivers

Waterfalls

What can we see on land?

    I can see a mountain

I can see a mountain range

I can see a hill  

I can see a valley

I can see a volcano

I can see a plateau

I can see a plain 

I can see a peninsula

I can see an island

I can see a beach

I can see a cliff

I can see a river

I can see a lake, 

I can see a waterfall

I can see a sea or ocean

I can see a desert

I can see a forest

Do we learn it better with a song? Oh yeah!

 

 Mountains are pointy,  mountains are taller.

 Hills are rounded and  hills are smaller.

 Valleys  lay low between two hills.

 Plains  are flat, the land is still.

 Peninsulas  have water on three sides.

 Islands are surrounded by water and its tides

A  lake  is water surrounded by land.

 Oceans  have salt water and its quite grand.

 Rivers  have water that flows free.

Landforms are great!
