We are going to learn about Water but.....
What do we know about water?
Have a look at Earth.Yes, it looks blue because it is almost all water.
This is why we call Earth, blue planet.
Water can be fresh water or salt water.
SALT WATER
Salt water ==> oceans and seas.
A sea is a big body of salt water but an ocean is even bigger.
Earth has many seas and oceans.
The most important seas are: the Mediterranean, the South China, the Caribbean and the Bering Sea.
There are 5 oceans: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern and Arctic Oceans.
Have a look!
FRESH WATER
A lake is a body of fresh water surrounded by land.
Underground water is a body of fresh water that runs underground.
A riveris a body of fresh water that flows towards another body of water as an ocean, lake or another river.
A tributary is a river that flows into another river.
The river bed is the ground where the river flows.
A gully is a channel that only has water when it rains.

Do you know the parts of a river?
The upper course is near the source. The river is narrow and the water flows very quickly.
The central part is the middle course. The river is wider and the water flows more slowly.
The lower course is near the river mouth. The river is wide and the water flows slowly.
The curves of a river are called meanders.
A watershed is an area of land where all the rivers flow into the same sea or ocean. There are three watershed in Spain:
Cantabrian watershed: Navia, Eo, Nalón rivers.
Atlantic watershed: Miño, Duero, Tajo, Guadiana, Guadalquivir rivers, and Islas Canarias gullies.
Mediterranean watershed: Ebro, Segre, Jalón, Segura rivers, and Islas Baleares gullies.

Got the idea of what we all shall drink, fresh water.
Just wondering......??? How do we get water? Let´s flow...
Water evaporates when it is hot, water turns into water vapor and goes up to the atmosphere where it condensates creating the clouds.

Water cycle
Let's watch this video
Water evaporates when it is hot, water turns into water vapor and goes up to the atmosphere where it condensates creating the clouds.
When the air cools, water precipitates as rain, snow or hail.
Water is collected in rivers, lakes, seas or underwater and the cycle starts again.
