Countable and uncountable nouns. Countable nouns are nouns that can be count. Apples, pencils, cars, children.... They take articles such as a or an . An apple, a pencil.... When asking we need to use.. How many ....? Uncountable nouns are nouns that cannot be count. Sugar, milk, water, oil, rice,.... They cannot take a or an. Some can be used. They cannot have plural forms. Sugar s , oil s When asking we need to use: How much.. ? Uncountable nouns need a quantifier in order to be able to be count. We have started learning about LIVING THINGS. What are living things? Living things are organisms that are born, grow, reproduce and die. Living things VITAL FUNCTIONS : NUTRITION, REPRODUCTION and INTERACTION. NUTRITION Living things need water, food and air in order to grow. They transform nutrients into energy in order to live. Animal nutrition -Carnivores: animals that eat only meat -Herbivores: animals that eat only plants -Omnivores: animals that eat both, plants and meat.
